Our Location

Our patient is an Asian female in her 20s who previously struggled with morbid obesity, reaching a maximum weight of 235 lbs. Through dedicated diet and exercise, she achieved a lowest weight of 145 lbs and weighed 150 lbs at the time of surgery, yet she remained bothered by excess fat and stretched thigh tissue that would not respond to workouts. Dr. Timothy Katzen performed a thigh lift, also known as Thighplasty, under general anesthesia to refine her inner thigh contour and create a smoother leg silhouette. Before surgery, markings were made with her standing to map where tightening was needed and to plan incisions that are typically hidden in the groin crease with extension along the inner thigh when additional reshaping is required. During the procedure, redundant tissue was removed, the deeper layers were tightened to support the new contour, and the remaining skin was redraped to reduce the heavy, loose appearance while maintaining a natural transition toward the knee. Conservative liposuction was added to blend the edges for an even result. After meticulous closure, a compression garment supports healing and helps manage swelling. Recovery includes expected bruising, swelling, and temporary numbness, with early walking encouraged and strenuous exercise delayed until cleared. These photos were taken 15 months after surgery and show remarkable, stable results with improved thigh shape and comfort in clothing.

Thigh Lift After Weight Loss

Our patient is an Asian female in her 20s who previously struggled with morbid obesity, reaching a maximum weight of 235 lbs. Through dedicated diet and exercise, she reduced her weight to 145 lbs and weighed 150 lbs at the time of surgery, yet continued to experience stubborn excess fat and lax tissue along her thighs that did not improve with fitness alone.  To address this concern, Dr. Timothy Katzen performed a thigh lift, also known as Thighplasty, under general anesthesia to improve thigh contouring after weight loss.  The procedure focuses on removing excess tissue and reshaping the thighs for a smoother, more proportional appearance.  Incisions are carefully planned along natural creases of the inner thigh to allow effective excess fat removal while aiming for discreet scar placement.  The deeper tissues are tightened to support the new contour, and the skin is repositioned to create a firmer, more streamlined leg shape.  Recovery includes swelling management and compression garments to support healing.  These photos were taken 15 months after surgery and demonstrate remarkable, stable results with improved thigh definition and comfort in clothing.
