This patient had lost over 150 lbs and her 40th birthday is coming up, so to celebrate both of these milestones she wants to get rid of the excess skin and fat on her abdomen as well as her arms. Today's patient had previously lost over 150 lbs! Unfortunately with that weight loss, the patient has been left with a lot of loose hanging skin on her arms, neck, face and around her breasts. So first Dr. Katzen is going to perform an #ArmReduction including liposuction and and incision to remove the hanging skin, to reduce the overall size of the arms about 35%. Today's patient is a 35 year old female who has lost 140 lbs! She has a lot of excess skin on her back that isn't bouncing back, so to remove that hanging skin Dr. Katzen performs a horizontal torsoplasty, also known as a "bra strap" Torsoplasty because the scar line hides behind the bra strap. #THROWBACKTHURSDAY Today we go back to a patient who had come to us for removal of illegal silicone injections from her buttock. Dr. Katzen was able to successfully remove all of the silicone product and contaminated tissue from the patient's buttocks but she lost a lot of volume in that area as a result. This patient is in her mid 30's. She's 5'4 and 190 lbs. In June of 2021, she came to Dr. Katzen for silicone injections removal (silicone injected in 2011). She healed nicely and came in for buttock reconstruction with her own fat, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). Today's patient had previously gotten illegal silicone injections in the buttock. It didn't take long before the patient began feeling a lot of localized pain in her buttock and lower back, and a silicone mass grew in her buttock as well. This patient is in her mid 30's. She's 5'4 and 190 lbs. In June of 2021, she came to Dr. Katzen for silicone injections removal (silicone injected in 2011). She healed nicely and came in for buttock reconstruction with her own fat, also known as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
