Our Location

Our patient is a White male in his 60s who weighed 189 lbs at the time of surgery and felt his hands were “giving him away.” As the skin thins and natural padding disappears, veins and tendons stand out and leading to a more aged appearance. To address this, Dr. Timothy Katzen performed fat transfer to the bilateral hands during his full-body transformation, with the patient comfortably asleep under general anesthesia. Fat was gently harvested from another area of the body, cleansed and concentrated, then re-injected in precise layers across the back of each hand using small, controlled passes. This technique of autologous fat grafting restores volume where it has been lost, softens the look of prominent veins, and improves the overall contour so the hands look healthier, not “overfilled.” Because we use the patient’s own fat, this hand rejuvenation can provide a longer-lasting, natural-feeling result compared with many temporary options, while avoiding the use of foreign materials. Early swelling and bruising are normal; these photos were taken one week after surgery, so the hands are still healing, yet the smoother shape is already visible. With proper aftercare, including elevation, avoiding heavy lifting, and protecting the hands from sun exposure, the transferred fat has the best chance to integrate. Results continue to refine for several weeks. Interested in fat transfer hand rejuvenation? Schedule a consultation with Dr. Katzen.

Our patient is a White male in his 60s who weighed 189 lbs at the time of surgery and felt that loose, thinning skin on the backs of his hands made his veins look overly prominent and aged.  As part of his full body transformation, Dr. Timothy Katzen performed fat transfer to the bilateral hands under general anesthesia to restore natural looking volume and create smoother, healthier hand contours.  The procedure began by gently harvesting a small amount of fat from another area of the body using liposuction.  That fat was then carefully purified and prepared so only the best quality fat cells were used for transfer.  Next, Dr. Katzen meticulously injected the refined fat in tiny amounts across the back of each hand, layering it evenly to soften hollow areas, camouflage visible veins and tendons, and improve the overall shape without making the hands look puffy or unnatural.  Because this is autologous fat grafting, the enhancement comes from the patient’s own tissue, which can provide a natural feel and longer lasting hand rejuvenation compared to many temporary options.  Photos were taken one week after surgery, when mild swelling and bruising are still normal, but the improved fullness and smoother appearance are already noticeable.  Our patient achieved remarkable results and enjoyed hands that better matched the refreshed look of his overall transformation.
