Our Location

Our patient is a 54-year-old Asian female who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen seeking a flatter, smoother abdomen after struggling with excess abdominal skin and fat that would not improve on its own. She wanted a body transformation that would help her midsection look more refined and better proportioned. To address these concerns, Dr. Katzen performed a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, under general anesthesia. This procedure is designed to remove loose abdominal skin, reduce excess fatty tissue, and tighten the abdominal contour for a firmer overall appearance. During surgery, Dr. Katzen carefully made a low abdominal incision so the resulting scar could sit as discreetly as possible. He then lifted the abdominal skin, removed the excess tissue, and reshaped the remaining skin so it could be re-draped smoothly across the stomach. When appropriate, the abdominal wall can also be tightened to improve the overall contour and help create a flatter profile. The belly button is then positioned to match the new abdominal shape in a natural-looking way. The incision is closed in layers to support healing and minimize tension on the skin. These photos were taken just 10 days after surgery, so the wounds are still fresh and early swelling is expected, yet her results are already visible and remarkable. Even at this early stage, her abdomen appears noticeably flatter, smoother, and more sculpted, with continued improvement expected as healing progresses.

Flatter Stomach w/ Tummy Tuck

Our patient is a 54-year-old Asian female who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen seeking a flatter, smoother abdomen.  She was bothered by excess skin and fat in the abdominal area and wanted a body transformation that would create a firmer, more refined midsection.  To help her achieve that goal, Dr. Katzen performed a tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, under general anesthesia.  An abdominoplasty is designed to improve the shape of the abdomen by removing loose skin and excess fatty tissue while tightening and smoothing the remaining abdominal contour.  During surgery, Dr. Katzen carefully made a low abdominal incision so the scar could be placed as discreetly as possible beneath undergarments or swimwear.  The abdominal skin was then lifted, allowing the excess skin and fat to be removed in a controlled and precise manner.  In many tummy tuck procedures, the abdominal wall can also be tightened to help create a flatter profile and improve the overall contour of the waist and stomach.  The remaining skin was then re-draped over the abdomen and shaped to create a smoother, firmer result.  The belly button was positioned to appear natural with the newly contoured abdomen, and the incision was closed in multiple layers to support healing and reduce tension on the skin.  These photos were taken just 10 days after surgery, so this is still a very early stage in recovery and the wounds are understandably still fresh.  Even so, our patient has already achieved visible, remarkable results.  Her abdomen appears noticeably flatter and smoother, and her early transformation already shows the improved contour that will continue to refine as swelling decreases and healing progresses.
