The following is a daily sample menu containing approximately 1700 calories and 100 grams of protein, which would be adequate for a 160 lb person after having a body lift. Although it is gluten free, those who consume gluten may also follow this sample menu. Please note that calorie restrictions are not recommended for a post-op diet as you will need the calories and protein to recover from your surgery. There is some focus on dietary fiber as constipation may be an issue after surgery, especially if activity is limited. As your appetite may not be great after surgery, reduced fat items were chosen as fat tends to cause you to feel fuller faster, which results in a decreased nutritional intake. Frequent small meals are recommended to better distribute your nutrient intake throughout the day. Nutrients were calculated using data from www.myfooddiary.com.
