Nutrition for Post-Operative Body Lift (Sample Menu #5) - Pescatarian Diet

A pescatarian diet is one where a person avoids poultry and red meat. A pescatarian may or may not consume eggs and milk products. This sample menu will include eggs and milk products. Generally, depending on the intensity of the surgery, a person requires 1.2-1.5 grams of protein/kg body weight and about 20-25 calories/kg body weight per day. For a 160 lb person (about 73 kg) who has had a body lift, the daily recommended intake post-operatively is 1500-1800 calories and 88-110 grams protein/day. This menu will provide about 1700-1800 calories and 100 grams of protein per day. Please note that calorie and protein restrictions are not recommended after surgery, especially one as involved as a body lift, as you will need the calories and protein to recover and heal from your surgery.
